Setting force regulations and rules to minimize damage
Based on its Crisis Management Rules, OMRON has established the Contingency Planning Rules, which include measures to prepare for earthquakes, wind storms, floods and other natural disasters as well as accidents such as fire and explosions, along with emergency countermeasures. The goals are to prevent and alleviate human suffering and physical damage, with quick and appropriate initial response when a disaster strikes. OMRON updates its emergency contact system as necessary.
Should an earthquake occur with a seismic intensity of 5- or greater, with the potential of damage over a wide area, a system is in place that allows OMRON employees to record and verify their own safety and that of their families via mobile phone or the Internet.
