OMRON blood pressure monitor and portable ECG monitor win iF Product Design Awards 2009
The OMRON HEM-7301-IT/7300 upper arm blood pressure monitor and the HCG-801 portable ECG monitor won the 2009 iF Product Design Awards, one of the most prestigious design awards in the world. Established in 1953, the iF Product Design Awards are presented annually by Industrie Forum Design in Hannover, Germany. Industrial products from all over the world compete for the awards, which evaluate design quality, processing, material selection, degree of innovation, environmental compatibility, functionality, ergonomics, intuitive ease of use, safety, brand value/branding, and incorporation of universal design.
The HEM-7301-IT/7300 was highly regarded by iF judges for its slim dimensions that enhance portability and ease of storage, as well as the innovative design that defies conventional perceptions of a blood pressure monitor.
OMRON MC-670-E digital thermometer also received a gold award as part of the iF Product Design Awards 2007.
