"SOBA" Interactive Communication Framework for Broadband Networks
- Open source developed by cooperation among industrial, administrative and academic sectors.
- N to N communication with stream media like movie or voice through shared space on the Internet.

As the Internet continues to revolutionize our broadband centralized world, a structure that utilizes the extensive band effectively has been needed. OMRON has been tackling it up to now by performing joint research and development with Kyoto University and NTT COMWARE CORPORATION. Through this R&D activity, we are building the SOBA framework that provides methods to create a shared space called "session" where users can share comprehensive media contents such as video, voice, file, etc. By developing applications on the SOBA framework, we can create a completely new way to use the Internet and enjoy exploitingthe potential of broadband.
