Keihanna's office space is made up of special-task areas, some for research and planning and some for marketing activities. All areas have desk spaces ideal for individual work requiring concentration, such as generating ideas or writing theses, and other desk spaces are suited to collaborative work that involves team-level communication. These areas are flanked by meeting zones, thinking zones, browsing zones, and magnet zones (areas with copiers and other office equipment where people naturally tend to gather) to complement the main functions of the special-task areas and facilitate efficient R&D.
